This cap ring is used with carbon thread covers and is paired with a base ring and carbon tube. Choose a size that is larger than the blank diameter to avoid nicks.

Hidden thread assembiles call for three matching componets: BASE RING, CAARBON TUBE and CAP RING. You will need to know the diameter of your blank at the point where the cover installs to choose the proper cap ring ID. Allow extra space to avoid Marring the blank when tightening the reel into the seat.
